Why I've disappeared...

I am not gone. Well, not really. I haven't been able to access the Internet from home for about a week now (I am currently staying overnight at a hotel for work, so I'm able to use the Internet just for now). I had a couple of posts set up ahead of time, but that wasn't enough to cover all this off time I've had. No, I didn't plan this. Not in the slightest. Sadly, the DNS for my Internet connection is down and I don't know when it will be fixed. Hopefully soon, but I can't make promises, as I have no say in how quickly these things are taken care of, or if they are taken care of at all. (The account actually belongs to my landlady's son, who allows me to connect wirelessly for free, so any issues with it are out of my hands.)

Hopefully I'll be able to come back soon!

In the meantime, I'd like to ask that you keep my niece, Faith, and my friend, Kathleen, in your prayers. Faith has a couple of lumps on her neck. The doctor believes it's just glands, but my sister has insisted on some tests, such as blood work, to be sure. Kathleen is a recent convert who has been struggling with a variety of issues, not the least of which is a husband who is adamantly (sometimes violently) opposed to her new faith.

I really appreciate all your prayers!

Like a River Glorious

Like a river, glorious
Is God's perfect peace,
Over all victorious
In its bright increase;
Perfect, yet it floweth
Fuller every day,
Perfect, yet it groweth
Deeper all the way.

Chorus:
Stayed upon Jehovah,
Hearts are fully blest;
Finding, as He promised,
Perfect peace and rest.

Hidden in the hollow
Of His blessed hand,
Never foe can follow,
Never traitor stand;
Not a surge of worry,
Not a shade of care,
Not a blast of hurry
Touch the spirit there.

Every joy or trial
Falleth from above,
Traced upon our dial
By the Sun of Love.
We may trust Him fully
All for us to do;
They who trust Him wholly
Find Him wholly true.

All That Thrills My Soul

Who can cheer the heart like Jesus
By His presence all divine
True and tender, pure and precious
O, how blest to call Him mine

Chorus:
All that thrills my soul is Jesus
He is more than life to me
And the fairest of ten thousand
In my blessed Lord I see

Love of Christ so freely given
Grace of God beyond degree
Mercy higher than the heavens
Deeper than the deepest sea

What a wonderful redemption
Never can a mortal know
Ho my sin, though red like crimson
Can be whiter than the snow

Every need His hand supplying
Every good in Him I see
On His strength divine relying
He is all in all to me

By the crystal flowing river
With the ransomed I will sing
And forever and forever
Praise and glorify the King

What Are You Worth? - David Asscherick

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it (Matthew 13:44-46).

A sermon clip from Pastor David Asscherick that I highly recommend watching. I can't emphasize enough how important this message is! So, please, watch it. God bless. :-)
